We're always grateful for the chance to connect with these wonderful creatures and show them animal love. Supporting animal rescue efforts helps us give every animal the care they deserve!

Today is May the 4th be with you, and, if you are not a Star Wars nerd, what's the harm in wishing you that all of the best, most powerful forces of the universe are in your favor today?

There is nothing wrong with wishing each other well, even if it is in ways you may not always understand.

Well, it was a crazy busy weekend and I am grateful it is behind me! The Derby party, with the biggest turnout yet, the Little Mermaid Play with all of the poignant moments as a parent that come with that, and we did a short training session yesterday with Donkey and Cesar practicing for our Rodeo parade debut. Donkey was a perfect gentleman. Cesar not so much. Sigh. Still not sure who will end up making the roster for that event, besides the Donkey of course!

And then, what was up with Chilli this morning?! I think it is just that there was a little early morning chill in the air, and she was feeling feisty and needing to get the blood pumping and warm up. It was fun and cute to watch her, although, admittedly, a little scary too! But she is much more gentle and has more self control than she did a year ago. We are also learning to trust each other more, too. Isn't that true for everyone?

Today I am grateful I woke and got to see Chilli feeling so good. I am grateful it's May 4th and I get to say that Star Wars joke freely to everyone all day! I am grateful for the sunshine, coffee, cell phones and editing software that help me bring ranch life to you in easier and better ways, I am grateful for all my family, including my sisters, aunties, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and all of my family, near and far, and hope they all have a most wonderful today, and that they know how much they mean to me, even if we don't see or speak to each other that often.

What about you, Animal Loving Angel? What are you looking forward to this on this golden Monday morning, that is the best day of your life? This is your day! This is your morning! Step outside and let the whole world know! Together, with the love of each other, and our precious animals, we can, and will overcome everything.

So give yourself that high five in the mirror, smile, and let yourself know you are doing just great!

That was one of the best parts of the Derby party for me, getting to share some ideas on how to engage horses in play that some horse lovers had never thought of before. You can always, always, learn something new. You never know how what you learn today, will improve your life and relationships, for tomorrow. So don't be afraid to ask questions, start discussions, and learn something new. You never know how that might change your life. After all, if you weren't here to learn something new, you would not have woken up today. So get out there, ask questions, and spread some love.
