Dr. Jena Questen

👋 Hey animal lovers! Thanks for watching! 😊 This morning video captures a beautiful Memorial Day at ResqRanch, focusing on our commitment to animal welfare. Watch as our rescued horses, including Sugar and Dixie, enjoy their freedom, embodying the spirit of animal rescue and exercising our freedoms. It's a moment of peace and gratitude, highlighting the joy of caring for these cute animals in a safe environment, and being grateful for the sacrifice of the men, women, and animals, who helped ensure all of our freedoms today. Thank you for your service! And if you want a glimpse into a Cavalry Museum, check out this video here

Today, I am grateful it is Memorial Day, and that we have such a day to help us keep things in perspective when life seems difficult. I am grateful Natalia trusts me enough to let me lay with her and touch her all over without fear - yes I am very grateful for my bond with her. I am grateful we had a fabulous training session yesterday with her, her sister Chilli, and the Donkey. Not only did they go for a nice, long, parade distance worthy walk on lead (behaving perfectly the whole time), but also we did our best trailer loading practice session with them yet. Yep, yesterday it sure looked like the Mustangs and Donkey might just end up being our parade crew.

It was Natalia's second time doing this practice parade walk, and she actually did better with Patti than me, which was a wonderful experience for Patti, and I was super grateful because she trained Natalia precisely, all the while allowing me to be free to do other things like load and unload the donkey from the trailer and support Chilli as needed. It was Chilli's first time doing the parade walk exercise, but she too, was perfectly behaved. I am so proud and grateful of those two little Mustang fillies! I am so grateful for our big flat spot where we could do this training, for the people who helped make it possible, and the beautiful weather to do it in.

What about you, my Animal Loving Angel? What was the best part of your day yesterday? What are you most looking forward to today? I hope it is a beautiful day full of thoughtfulness, friendship, gratitude, and kindness towards yourself. It is the unofficial start of summer, so what will you do during this most productive time of your, that you can look back on in the fall, and think to yourself, I am so proud that the summer of 2026 was the year I finally_______________! What will you put in the blank? Today is a GREAT day to fill in that blank, give yourself a high five in the mirror, and get out there and pet, love on, or admire some cute animals!

And if any part of your journey includes a transformation with your dog, cat, fish, or other animals, we are here to help you at Aspen Park Vet Hospital. From training to making your own homemade diet, we got you covered. And if a transformation with your horse is your deepest desire, then we got you covered there through our FREE class at ResqRanch.org. And if you have already done the class and are ready to take it to the next level, then our summer 3 day clinics are for you!

I hope you have a the most wonderful Memorial Day ever. Thank you Veterans and God bless you all!
