Dr. Jena Questen
Today I am grateful for the absolutely fantastic off site meeting we had yesterday with the entire staff of Aspen Park Vet Hospital. We set our trajectory for the remainder of the year, and finally had time outside of taking care of patients to work out the details on some projects we have been wanting to do for some time. I am grateful most everyone came. I am grateful I think it went well and everyone had fun. I am also grateful that ALL the horses showed up to interact with the group, which I found rather interesting since they don't often do that. Must have been something about the energy of the people that made all the horses feel comfortable and want to interact. It was pretty fascinating to see it. And it made my heart glad, because it tells me the horses approve of the staff! I am so grateful I have a wonderful classroom that easily holds a group of up to about 15 people to have meetings like this, comfortably indoors, but only a few steps away from the horses. I am so lucky and grateful for it all. Do you have a group that could use a meeting space? We would love to offer you our classroom!
Sadly, a neighbors horse died recently and they donated to us all of their left over treats. This is what I was passing out to the horses this morning in the video. Notice that for your safety it is always best for the horses head to be low. It is hard for a horse to think about running off or spooking when their head is down low in a vulnerable position of great trust with you. So it's always best to practice this down low, deep trust position any chance you can get.
So what are you grateful for today, this most holy Friday before Easter Sunday? Do you have big plans for the weekend to spend with friends and family? I sure hope so, you Animal Loving Angel. I hope you have the most beautiful spring day ever, and that when you go to sleep tonight, you feel good about the choices that you made. And if part of your future journey involves having a safe, loving relationship with horses, I am here for you!

The simple truth is, we can help more with each additional donation. More food, more shelter, more rescued animals. Thank you!
