Dr. Jena Questen

Join us for an early morning at the ranch in this animal video, where a sleeping Chilli horse causes a brief scare but thankfully all is well! We then share some sweet interactions with our horses and showcase the beauty of ranching life. Don't miss this equestrian journey from dawn till dusk especially on such a special day, earth day 2026!

I am so committed to the earth, recycling, and protecting our natural environment, that on this day in 1995 I actually got a tattoo of the earth, so this is a special day to me. Back then, I thought to myself, even if the tattoo fades and looks horrible with time, it will always be a constant reminder to me, to never forget what matters in life, and ensure I always adhere to my commitment to do my best to protect nature. I do not regret it. And I hope on this day you will think to do just that little extra, like pick up some trash, or put something in a recycle bin you would normally just throw in the trash. If we all do our part, a little adds up to a lot of positive impact!

Today I am grateful Chilli was just sleeping soundly and that she and the others are all ok! I am grateful it's Earth Day and that we have such a day ear marked to be a reminder to all of us to tread lightly. I am grateful for the extra special sunrise that I personally just could not get enough of today. It was like a special gift just to celebrate the day. I am grateful I had an extra great day yesterday full of meaningful conversations with friends that I don't get to see or talk to too often. I am grateful for friends. I am grateful for ears to hear. And I am grateful I woke up today to give this journey another shot.

How about you, you Animal Loving Angel? How will you make the most of this beautiful day? How will you celebrate earth day, and yourself in this journey called life? If, as the weather warms up, part of your future involves wanting to spend more time with horses, then we certainly have your back, right here at our animal sanctuary and education center.

For now, the Horse Training Masterclass is still free on the ResqRanch.org website. It's a perfect time to take a deep dive into animal behavior, and then start the next part of your life's journey, which is making yourself a better animal caretaker for all the beloved animals in your life, and, perhaps, bring some joy to some of the animals we have here. They really enjoy interacting with and getting attention from new people. Could that be you?

As you begin this new day, I hope you will take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the earth, and the miracle of your own life. Today is a precious day, and who knows if any of us will get another one, or, even get to see the end of this one. So enjoy every precious moment, and if there is anything I can do to help you on your journey of transformation, I am here for you.

Hope to see you at our Kentucky Derby party on May 2nd at the Wild Game from 1-5 pm. And if you can only stop by to show your support for a few moments, the best time to do so would be between 4:30-5 because that is when the action will be the at it's peak. It promises to be a super fun time and we can't wait to see you there!

Until then, have the most wonderful day, and we will see you right here, tomorrow!
