You might already be using positive reinforcement (or R+) with your dogs, cats, or perhaps even your horse, if you are the kind of person who likes to talk to your animals as if they can fully understand you. If you dislike and avoid shouting or forcing them to do anything, or, if the idea of round penning your horse into submission just feels uncomfortable and wrong. If this describes you, then you are listening to your heart, and you are definitely in the right place!

Today I am grateful I woke up, that we got some rain (yes!), that the grass is getting more green, that all of the animals are doing great (and Donkey is on the road to recovery), and that I get to spend the afternoon with my awesome team from Aspen Park Vet Hospital, showing them the ResqRanch, so that when people call and ask questions, they all know what they need to, first hand, in order to be able to answer questions. I am really looking forward to that and am grateful we have a great day planned that I hope they are as excited for as I am.

Are you excited for anything special today, you Animal Loving Angel? I sure hope so! It's Thursday, one more day closer to Friday, and the weekend. But before then we have to make the most of this day. Because none of us are guaranteed Friday, or the weekend, or even the rest of today. None of us are getting out of here alive. So, if you knew today was the last day of your life, how would you spend it? Would you tell someone you love them? Would you eat your favorite meal? Dance barefoot in the grass? Today I encourage you to do one thing today, as if this were your last day on earth. Because, well, who knows?

Mostly I just want you to know how much I appreciate you. I appreciate your support. I appreciate you being here. I appreciate you loving animals. I appreciate you, helping me, make the world a better place for animals, and the people who love them...us!

So get out there and make it a great day everyone! The weather looks nice, the springtime birds are chirping, the earth is renewing, and it's the universal time of rebirth, and starting again. Another year is in front of us. How will you make it the best year yet?
