Hooray it's supposed to snow today! I sure hope it does, and way more than they are predicting. No I am not crazy, the grass needs the moisture to grow. And the horses need the grass to thrive. We have tried for months all kinds of various treatments, from acupuncture to herbs, antibiotics to urinary acidifiers (which he hated eating in his food), all to no avail. The next step is to just keep him as comfortable as we can until we can take him to the university for bladder surgery, or purchase a Shockwave therapy machine to break up the stones. Regardless, snow is on the way, and I love it.

Although it does mean a little more work to ensure the water troughs and the hose don't freeze, that the horses have extra hay in their bellies to digest and help keep them warm, and putting blankets on who needs or wants them so they are more comfortable.

Today I am grateful for the snow in the forecast. I am grateful we have blankets to put on the horses that need them. I am grateful for friends, neighbors, and supporters. I am grateful my body has the ability to heal, like the spider bite on my arm which is going away. I am grateful for technology, this computer, and my phone which make it possible to work more easily.
