How do you respond when your horse, dog, or rooster won't comply with what you are asking them to do?

a) Ask them over and over in the same tone.

b) Ask them in a louder and more aggressive tone.

c) Ask them twice, and then redirect to something else.

The correct answer is C, and you will see this positive reinforcement in action on Friday. Escalating violence is never the answer in animal training. The only exception is a direct safety concern. If your life or the animal's life is in danger, do what you must to keep everyone safe.
