Dr. Jena Questen
In some ways, Donkeys are easier to train, because they stop and think first, before running away from danger like horses tend to do when confronted with something concerning to them. However, it can more difficult to find rewards for them that they enjoy so much as to encourage them to move with speed. And of course, no two animals are exactly the same. Though that doesn't matter though with all the principles of R+ being the same no matter if this is a horse, donkey, or dog. We all follow the same steps, for example one I mentioned in yesterday's video, where we ask no more than twice before moving on if we have not yet gotten the correct response. That's what makes positive reinforcement training actually easy and fun. It works on any animal, to teach them to do pretty much anything, in the most fun, rewarding, safe, and healthy way possible. This helps both of you live longer with less health issues simply because of the increased daily endorphin release that boosts your immune system. It's a win-win!
If this sounds good to you, head on over to ResqRanch.org and join the free community, inside is where my Horse Training Masterclass is FREE until March 22, 2026 (which also happens to be the same day as the Girls Gone Wild Mustang Birthday party).
Today I am grateful for the new YouTube advice I have gotten this week, and although it means these videos now are taking me twice as long to do (ha!) hopefully it means it will help get them more in front of the right people who need to see this and are yearning for a transformation with an animal in their life that they love so much (or kids who we don't want hurt, or adults who have already been hurt and don't care to experience that again). I am grateful I know enough to care about the planetary alignment, and all the interstellar happenings of late that I am learning so much about, and how they might affect people or animals. I am grateful for my truck and that it is so reliable. I am grateful for the pick nick lunch I got to have yesterday afternoon outside in the warm sunshine on the last day of February 2026. And last but not least, I am grateful for the series of events starting last Tuesday with the power outage emergency, which led to seeing a fortuitous email pop up the next morning, which in turn led to the fact we now have a rooster in the house again this morning. I will tell you more, soon.
What about you, my Animal Loving Angel, what are grateful for today? I hope for the ability to look forward to enjoying the best day of your life, March 1, 2026 in the Year of the Fire Horse. Does that mean anything for you? I hope so, I hope it fills you with confidence to pursue your dreams with reckless abandon, this year. With our animals by out side, we can do anything, and everything! Be kind to yourself, walk barefoot outside, and give yourself some grace. Make it the best day ever!
And if it is not too much to ask, could you please get all your friends together too, to take a minute to download the Everything Evergreen app, and vote for us in the app for non-profit of the year? I know it's kind of hassle to download the app, but it's beautiful anyway and can be easily deleted after the you vote. Please and God bless you!
