Dr. Jena Questen
Natalia chose the correct winner of the Super Bowl yesterday, but Donkey was a little off on predicting the spread. Now we know who we can listen to next year! The horses had so much fun with this game yesterday. We need to do this more often because they really had fun and ran around like crazy for a good half an hour after they ate all the grain in the pans just because they were so fired up. Even Oliver cantered a little bit, which was good to see because I have been on the verge of having to make a quality of life decision for him. He is losing a lot of weight and does not seem happy. I gave him pain meds yesterday morning, and he was feeling better. He still drips and leaks so much urine and there is nothing further I know to do for him….
Today we have a new employee starting, and I am excited and grateful for that.
I am grateful I have friends and was invited to a SuperBowl party yesterday, went and had fun.
I am grateful the horses picked the winner of the game and had so much fun!
I am grateful I woke up today, and get to keep on keeping on, being the best me I can be.
And I am grateful for all I have, and for what I will have, including a 10 stall barn addition on our current barn, with a bathroom, laundry room, and a space to safely store the restored carriage that is coming our way. I spoke to some folks at the party about this barn idea, and they suggested I decide how much I can spend and then go from there. However, I am learning that the best thing to do is actually decide what is the very best thing, for now and in the future, and then just concentrate on that, and the rest will come. Much to be grateful for, always, including the wisdom that comes from constantly studying how to become a better human.
What about you, did you have a nice weekend? I sure hope you did, and that you, too, got to spend some time with friends, relax, and unwind a bit. At the party I met a professional camera man, who actually caught a tennis ball while filming, at the US Open, with one hand, and kept the ball from hitting a little kid behind him in the face, a ball traveling 130mph! What a story!. He was grateful to not be at the SuperBowl filming for a change, and to be at his friend's birthday party instead. I always meet the most interesting people at that party and feel honored and grateful I was invited.
Did you watch any of the Winter Olympics? I have been watching some figure skating, and I watched the Opening Ceremonies. What I love about the games is the way it brings people together from all over the world. I think it’s just wonderful. Concentrating on what is beautiful, and wonderful, and what brings people together in peace, hope, and joy, is really the best we can do. I wish this for you today, you Animal Loving Angel. Thank you for being here, I hope a cute animal puts a smile on your face today, have the best day ever!
