Dr. Jena Questen

Tomorrow is Pet Pictures with Santa! It’s not too late, the sign up is here https://www.resqranch.org/pet-pics-with-santa-signup (just copy and paste the link into a new window). Can’t wait to see you there! We are so excited, and spent a lot of time decorating the two spaces yesterday, as well as taking good care of the horses and giving them extra TLC. They all have huge ice balls in their hooves, and the mustangs had big ice chunks clinging to the feathers on the backs of their hind legs. They all seemed grateful to get some much needed attention after having to suffer through some bitter cold and deep snow the past few days.
Oliver is especially having a hard time dealing with the weather. He is already somewhat depleted from his constant struggle to urinate comfortably (which is a little worse than before, unfortunately), so he asked to stay in a stall two nights in a row. Boy he was ready to get out of that stall yesterday morning though, and did not want to go back in last night, which makes sense since the weather is a little less brutal now that it was a few days ago, and which tells me he is feeling better.

Today I spent some serious time manifesting that barn. What the entry doors will look like, the aisles, the stalls, the sunlight streaming in the windows, the observatory above the indoor arena where people can look down and watch what is happening in the arena below. I would love to have that thing built by this time next year so they could each stay in a warm stall at night. Won’t you help by just wishing the same for us? Every little bit helps, even just warm thoughts. Thanks! But if more than that is within the realm of possibilities, we would love and appreciate your donations here https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/Resqranch

Today I am grateful for the ability to visualize and manifest a different future for the horses. I am grateful it’s Friday and I have Dr. Hamman working at the hospital today so that I can be here putting the final touches on our Christmas preparations. I am grateful for my Christmas lights which got put up and are so festive (even if the colors are a little mismatched). I am grateful we had decent weather yesterday and got to give all of the horses a little special attention. Chilli was especially good for getting her hooves picked. Boy is she getting big! I am extra grateful for the full moon and the snow. And finally I am grateful I have the whole day ahead of me to get things done, be productive, make our events the best it can be, and that I am upright and breathing and able to do things. When I woke up today I thought, well, I woke up again, so there must be more for me to do here. Do you ever wake up and think that?

I encourage you to carve some time out of this day for yourself. Take a deep breath in, through the nose, and slowly out, through the mouth. It will help regulate your blood pressure and your heart rate, and help you have more peace and clarity as you tackle issues throughout your day. Look at yourself in the mirror, and tell yourself, you got this, you are enough, you are worth all the good things in the world, and you are making all the best decisions you can regarding your holiday preparations. It’s all good.

Thanks for being here, you Animal Loving Angel, wishing you all the best today and every day!
