Dr. Jena Questen
Happy Tuesday! Today I am grateful for this beautiful warm day. I am grateful we were busy at work yesterday and everything seemed to flow well with the team, clients, and patients. I am grateful I work at a veterinary practice where (most) of the animals are happy to see me , enjoy their treatment, and feel genuinely better when they leave. I say most because let’s be real….cats. It’s hard to convince a stressed out cat we are just trying to help. Which is exactly why all cat lovers should take the time to travel often with their pets so that vet visits are less stressful for them. I am grateful I woke up this morning without limping (although I did have to get up in the middle of the night and take pain meds because my ankle hurt so much). And I am grateful for the new microwave which was donated to us over the holidays. Thank you!
What are you doing to celebrate the New Year? I still have this deep burning desire to go to a wild party like I would have been in search of every year in my twenties. But then, I don't want to drive home after the party more than I want to actually go to one, so then I am just conflicted and searching for events close to home, which there are not too many options. Who can relate?
And then last night after a very long day at work, and getting home well after dark, the idea of doing some riding training with the fillies didn’t even cross my mind until after dinner and on my way to bed. Oops. Try again today I suppose. At least the weather should be decent.
Well I certainly hope YOU have fun plans for New Year’s! And also, more importantly, that you stay safe. Let me know in the comments what you plan to do, give me some ideas.
In the meantime, enjoy this beautiful Tuesday, this gift which has been given to us, and that we don’t know how many more we will get. I hope today you will give some thought to what you want your life to look like next year, the week between Christmas and New Year’s, and that your goals and visions are coming to life. For me, will I be looking out the window at an indoor arena next year? Do I dare even hold that vision? It’s a big one and feels daunting for sure. But all I really have to do is make up my mind and write it down, no harm in that, best case it happens, worst case I have the year wrong and it happens the next one, am I right? Why is it so hard to commit, do you ever feel the same way? I hope your visions, goals, and dreams come easily to you, may 2026 be the best year yet you Animal Loving Angel. And if part of what fills you up inside is charitable giving to a worthy bunch of motley horses, won’t you please help us here https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/Resqranch thank you and have a wonderful day!
