Dr. Jena Questen
You caught me, yes I slept in today. I guess it was the snow which finally came again after so many unusually warm days. I had pleasant dreams of Billy Bob Thornton saving us all from some sort of magnetic geovortex storm. Too many sci fi movies I guess?
Yesterday was very busy at work and I realized this morning I forgot to do a live. Oops. I have been trying to go live every day on YouTube as has been suggested to me by many people with much greater success than myself. So I have to forgive myself for that. For putting yet one more arbitrary ‘must do’ on my daily to do list, and then not doing it. Deep sigh. Literally nothing I can do about that now. Except try again today and pick up where I left off.
I do have some very good news I would like to share though, my emergency surgery dog from Christmas Eve is going great! Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts, I am grateful for them, and it worked! Remy did get to be a Christmas miracle for her family, and I am so grateful for that! I am also grateful for my awesome team that stayed late without hesitation to help that poor dog. I am grateful for the snow we have today, it’s so powdery and light. I am happy for the people that get to go skiing and snowboarding today and enjoy it. And I am simply grateful it’s Sunday, that I got to sleep in (sorry my video is a little late) and cuddle my doggies in a warm house with the gentle swirls of snow outside of my windows. Indeed a beautiful start to the day.
How will you spend this Sunday, this gift? I hope you have plans to do something fun, have a little (or a lot) of laughter and joy, and spend time with someone you love. Because you woke up today, so that means you are here for a reason, and that reason is probably that someone needs you. So when the going gets tough, remember, it’s not always all about you and what you are experiencing. Somebody else might just be suffering more than you, and you just might be the one thing that is helping them get through that. Are you the lighthouse for someone else? We are all here together, sharing a lived experience, and I hope that today, yours is especially good, kind, wonderful, and full of joy. Thanks for being here you Animal Loving Angel, I encourage you to make today the best day of your life. We got this!
