Dr. Jena Questen
Yesterday the best part of my day was going out, despite the snowstorm and icy roads, to a Chamber of Commerce evening mixer. Being on the board of the Evergreen Chamber means I am expected to show up to events as much as I can. I already attended a breakfast meeting on Wednesday where a financial investor spoke to us about the prospects of 2026 for our business. However, last night was more about fun, food, cupcakes and camaraderie. It’s so nice to live in such a great community with so many opportunities to connect with others who are trying to better the community as a way to show their appreciation for how precious it is to all of us to get to live in this beautiful place. It was great to reconnect with friends, and make new ones.
Today I am grateful we got there and back home safely, that I am on the board and have the opportunity to attend these events, that I get to live in this community at all (a dream of mine since my children were in pre-school), and I am grateful that I have a team, including a vet, to cover at the hospital for me today so that I can be here and do a training session with the volunteers at the ranch. And I am grateful for the new blue blanket that was donated for Oliver that he got to enjoy last night in the snow. I am worried about him. His urinary issue seems to be taking its toll on him, he is losing weight no matter what we do, and does not look too happy these days with his arthritis as well. I don’t want to think about that today.
Today I am looking forward to resuming Friday training sessions with volunteers after the holidays. And I am excited to see how my new video we will release at 6 pm tonight will do. It's about Cesar and his episode of the painful hoof disease called laminitis. My team and I spent a lot of work on making that a fun and interesting video.
Today, it’s Friday, TGIF! I hope you are excited for the this day, and the weekend ahead. I encourage you today to find a positive affirmation that means something valuable to you today, and that you can say to yourself in the mirror at least 3 times today. I am doing great! I look great! I am right where I am supposed to be! All is well, and I am safe. And if it’s in your ability to help, we could use all the help we can get to help repair our tractor https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/Resqranch Thanks for being here you Animal Loving Angel, make today the best day of your life!

The simple truth is, we can help more with each additional donation. More food, more shelter, more rescued animals. Thank you!
