Dr. Jena Questen

What if today is the best day of your life? It sure could be depending on what choices you make today.

Today I am grateful for my life, my animals, my body, my ability to have deep compassion for others, my team, and that all of our horses and the property survived this cold snap without major problems. Much to be grateful for.

Some of the other veterinarians that work for me have asked for a little guidance on how I prescribe Chinese Herbs to help patients. As a team we decided the best way for me to communicate that to them, is for me to record some videos explaining it. So that is exactly what we did. If you have a painful animal and are wondering what herbs might be helpful to alleviate their discomfort without using conventional medications, or, if you are just interested in holistic medicine, you might find the video helpful. I would love for you to check it out and let me know how I can improve it for next time. You can find it here https://youtube.com/live/GrW2h9BLkqc?feature=share

I am excited for today because we get to spend time with the horses with my volunteers, and it looks like the sun will be out and we will get a little break in the weather. I know we need snow, however, I am enjoying that we are getting lots of pleasant weather during this winter, also, so that we can spend time with the horses, and so it’s less stressful on them to live outside. Yesterday, I took Oliver’s blanket off, and he doesn't look the best under there. He is really losing a lot of weight. He is struggling with his constant urinary dripping. I already did his teeth this year so I know it’s not that. It’s just the stress of his arthritis and constant discomfort with his urination despite all of our best efforts. I met a new person this week and talked to them about the horses. They were amazed that the horses didn't have a barn. I know. If he had a barn, I bet Oliver would be in better shape. I can only hope we can get him that big barn we dream of, before it’s too late for him. I want to manifest that we get that barn before I have to make a quality of life decision for him. I know other non-profits get millions of dollars in donations, and there is no reason why we can’t, too, so that we can get in front of the right people, and get those funds, so we can build a barn for Oliver, and a community center and gathering place for the community. If you didn’t know that is what we are trying to do, I would sure appreciate it if, now that you do, you would share this message with anyone who might help us get it further, and in front of the right people with the means to help us.

Thank you, you Animal Loving Angel, for caring about the animals, and for being kind to each other. Life is hard enough, it’s best to forgive others, and choose to be kind. Wishing you the best day ever, my people, we got this!
